The Nebraska weather is forever changing. Right now the weather here is very humid and to insure your wood is delivered to your home fresh and mold free I am including in ever box a few Indicating Silica Gel Desiccant Packs.
What are they?
Description: It is Odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, and non-corrosive, with stable chemical and thermal characteristics. It is crystal-like with beaded shape. Silica gel is the most commonly used desiccant, and is regarded as the highest humid adsorbent in desiccant community. Silica gel can adsorb moisture 40% or up of its weight at 100% humidity environment.
Each bag contains 5% indicating blue silica gel beads. This is ordinary silica gel coated with cobalt chloride, a heavy metal salt. When the gel absorbed 10% of approximate weight, the color crystals will turn from blue to pink making it easy visual indicator whether the gel has become saturated with moisture.
Please do not eat or feed them to your furry pet. Simply remove them from the box and throw them away.
In NO WAY will this packet ruin or taint your wood or cause harm to your furry friend.
